Cover Reveal: Wait For You by J. Lynn

by J. Lynn (Jennifer L. Armentrout)
Some things are worth waiting for…
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing…
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for…

Temptations With Tater (43): Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins

Does a regular Teaser Tuesday leave you feeling empty? Do you always post a whole paragraph in your teaser and never the one to two sentences as the rules state? Do you every just want to type the whole damn book because it is that amazing? Yeah, me too!! Temptations With Tater is a super charged Teaser Tuesday. Inspired by MizB's (Should Be Reading) Teaser Tuesday and Nicole's (The Reader's Antidote) Tempt Me Thursdays, TWT let's you really, REALLY tease your readers!
The rules are very similar to TT but super charged:
  • Step 1: Grab your current read (or most recent read)
  • Step 2: Select a page with a tantalizing juicy passage.
  • Step 3: Share a sentence, paragraph or part of the whole page, something that is tempting, tantalizing and will be sure to make the readers want this book bad!
  • Step 4: Don’t forget to tell us what book so we can add it to our list and cheat on our TBR piles.
Now, onto the teasing!

Ok people!!! I have a super special treat for you today. I got my paws on my most anticipated read of the year, Sweet Peril and OHMYLORDY!!! I have only read about 50 pages and in that 50 pages there is more sweet goodness than the frist book!! HELLO BABY CAKES!!! It's too much awesome for me to handle! So I am here today to give you a tiny little teaser that made me swoon out loud. Yea and I was at work at the time while reading this!!! That was funny to see!!

by Wendy Higgins

Now he took my other wrist and raised it. He stopped and ran his thumb across a freckle on my wrist, so tiny I didn't know how he noticed it. He kissed the spot, his lips soft and hot, making my heart splutter in my chest.

I tried to pull my hands back, but he grasped my wrist and pulled them even higher, draping them around his neck. The look in his eyes dared me to pull away again. I sunk my fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck.

"I'm trying to talk to you," I said.

"Yes, I know. But I'd rather not." ~ARC p. 32

And that is it for the teaser, oh wait no its not, how about a little eye candy?? Cuz it wouldn't be a temptation with Tater without some sexy eye candy!!!
And because this is all about Kaidan and Anna, here is the sexy as all get out, Wade, who is my perfect Kai.

Recalled by Cambria Hebert Blog Tour: Excerpt

by Cambria Hebert (Death Escorts, #1)
Love or Death? A simple question really. The choice seems obvious. But. What if you never knew love, what if your life was spent just trying to survive? What if you knew your fate before you were fully grown?

And then you died.

And you were given another chance. A better chance.

This new life depended upon one thing: your job. And so you agreed. You thought it would be simple. You thought it would be cut and dry.

It never is.

And now you are left holding the fate of someone else in the palm of your hand and you have to make the ultimate choice.

Love or Death?
I unchained the lock, turned the deadbolt, and pulled open the door. Frankie barely paused to look at me as she bustled by with her armload, yet she saw everything. “If I looked like you I wouldn’t want to open the door either.”
“It’s barely six a.m., Frank. What’re you doing here?”
“Did you think I wouldn’t come when you called to tell me about your brush with death!?”
“I thought maybe you’d wait and come at a decent hour,” I grumbled, locking the door and following her into the tiny kitchen.
“The donut makers are up,” she said, flipping the lid open on a box of a dozen donuts. “Therefore, the hour is decent!”
Fried dough, sugar, and icing wasn’t a healthy way to start the day.
“Where’s my coffee?” I said, cracking a smile because she motioned to the donuts like Vanna White.
She handed me a very large cup. “Here, it’s the boring kind. Cream, no sugar.”
I took a sip of my boring coffee as she untied her red trench coat and slipped it off her five-foot-four curvy frame. Frankie liked her curves and her sugar habit helped maintain them.
“So you almost got creamed by a bus, huh?” she said as she rummaged through my cabinets for napkins and a couple plates.
My stomach clenched at the mention of the bus. I set my coffee on the table and pulled out a chair. “Yes, I almost got hit by a bus, but didn’t because someone else pushed me out of the way.” I felt my eyes tear up again and I blinked them away, reaching for my coffee.
“It was real bad, huh?” Frankie said, sitting down and patting my hand.
“He died. He pushed me out of the way and the bus crushed him…” My voice fell away. “It was awful.”
“He died?”
“Almost instantly.”
We both sat there for long, silent moments. The kitchen filled with the comforting scents of donuts and coffee, but I felt awful that someone would still be breathing and alive if not for what he did for me.
“The thing is,” I said, my voice low, “I don’t know why he did it.”
“Well, I’m glad he did. I’m glad you’re still here.”
“Thanks, Frankie,” I said, but in the back of my head I wondered if I was the one who should’ve died.
Frankie reached into the donut box and pulled out a glazed, then looked at me. “So if I eat this am I going to get fat?”
I rolled my eyes. “Depends on how many you eat.”
“I plan on eating at least three. So go on, check.” She held out her hand, the one still holding the donut.
“You’re ridiculous.”
“What’s the use of having a BFF that can see the future if you can’t exploit it?”

About Toni:
Who am I? Well, let's start with who I am NOT. I am Not tall. I am Not a genius. And though a lot of people have assumed I was, I was never, ever a cheerleader in high school. Actually, I was a klutz, a nerd and kind of quiet when I was in high school. I am still a klutz, a much better listener than I am a talker (though my husband would probably disagree with that) and still a nerd (and very proud of that thank you!)
I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and when I was a kid I loved to wander the streets with my best friend John. We'd disappear for the whole day, returning conveniently when it was time for dinner. During the summer, I'd dance in the spray of the johnny pump (the fire hydrant). Some summers I'd spend in Ischia, the Italian island where my dad was from.
I have always loved to travel and wander. My most valued possession is my passport. I love to write stories that take me and my readers places and of course I love traveling places to do the research for my books (can you say write offs!). I write YA both contemporary and paranormal romance but I like to read everything and discover new and unusual books.

Three high school girls become the avenging Furies of Greek legend.

We were only three angry girls, to begin with. Alix, the hot-tempered surfer chick; Stephanie, the tree-hugging activist; and me, Meg, the quiet foster kid, the one who never quite fit in. We hardly knew each other, but each of us nurtured a burning anger: at the jerks in our class, at our disappointing parents, at the whole flawed, unjust world.

We were only three angry girls, simmering uselessly in our ocean-side California town, until one day a mysterious, beautiful classmate named Ambrosia taught us what else we could be: Powerful. Deadly. Furious.
Why I need this: EEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!! FURIES!!!!!!!! *DIES* I so can't help it. I have a soft spot for greek mythology. I just cant wait! And Hello!!! That cover is AMAZEBALLS! GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE!

The Boys Of Summer by C.J. Duggan Book Blutz: Excerpt & Double Giveaway

by C.J. Duggan
It seemed only natural to nickname them the ‘Onslow Boys’. Every time they swaggered in the front door of the Onslow Hotel after a hard week’s work, their laughter was loud and genuine as they settled onto their bar stools. I peeked through the restaurant partition, a flimsy divider between my world and theirs. I couldn’t help but smile whenever I saw them, saw him ... Toby Morrison.

Quiet seventeen-year-old Tess doesn’t relish the thought of a summertime job. She wants nothing more than to forget the past haunts of high school and have fun with her best friends before the dreaded Year Twelve begins.

To Tess, summer is when everything happens: riding bikes down to the lake, watching the fireworks at the Onslow Show and water bomb fights at the sweltering Sunday markets.

How did she let her friends talk her into working?

After first-shift disasters, rude, wealthy tourists and a taunting ex-boyfriend, Tess is convinced nothing good can come of working her summer away. However, Tess finds unlikely allies in a group of locals dubbed ‘The Onslow Boys’, who are old enough to drive cars, drink beer and not worry about curfews. Tess’s summer of working expands her world with a series of first times with new friends, forbidden love and heartbreaking chaos.

All with the one boy she has never been able to forget.

It will be a summer she will always remember.

Warning: sexual references, and occasional course language.

“Don’t you dare.” I grabbed his arm, pulling him backwards. His eyes darted to where my hand rested on him. I didn’t move my hand, I couldn’t physically bring myself to break the contact; all of a sudden there were no smiles, no jokes, just him and me and our space on the couch. I could only hear the music and be aware of the heat of his skin and the rapid rise and fall of my chest in this moment.
The only thing that snapped me out of my daze was Toby’s words which seemed low and raspy.
“Is Adam your boyfriend?” His gaze flicked over my face as he waited for my answer. My mouth gaped open; I couldn’t hide the fact I was dumbfounded by the question.
I blinked quickly and took my hand from his arm. I struggled to construct a legible sentence.
“Oh – um, no, we’re just friends, it’s not like that.”
His stony expression didn’t falter, didn’t reveal any kind of emotion. He was so hard to read, and I wanted to read him so badly. He gave a small nod and handed me the CD cover.
“Better go and make sure these guys aren’t cheating.” And without another word, he got up and headed towards the pool table.

by Alyssa Rose Ivy
Freshman year of college is hard even when you're not tied to the future king of a supernatural society.

Allie dives into college head first with Hailey as her roommate and the city of New Orleans as her backyard. As things within The Society heat up, Allie realizes that whether she’s with Levi or not, she's in far too deep to turn back.

About Alyssa

From Focus
I closed my eyes, trying to ignore the dull ache inside that made me want to reach out and touch him. He took advantage, but really I left myself open.
His lips met mine as his arm wrapped around my shoulder, turning me toward him. A voice in my head told me to cut him off, but I ignored it. He pushed to deepen the kiss, and I let my resistance fall away. He leaned into me, moving me so I was lying down. I felt his weight shift on top of me, his lips moving to my neck and trailing downward. I snapped myself out of it. Kissing Levi was a really bad idea.
“Stop!” I pushed against his chest. He didn’t respond at first, but he reluctantly moved to let me sit up. “What the hell was that?”
He grinned. “Don’t say you didn’t want that.”
“Don’t look so proud of yourself. It’s never happening again.” I straightened my hair out with my fingers, trying to get rid of the evidence.
“So about tonight?”
“What about it?” I snapped.
“What do you want to do?” He sat up, still looking way too proud of himself.
“I’m going to a party with Hailey. She says all the freshman will be there.”
“Please tell me you aren’t talking about Disorientation, are you?”
“Yeah, I think that’s what it’s called.”
He shook his head. “No way. You’re not going!”
As if on cue, the door started to open. “Are you two decent in there?” Jared yelled obnoxiously.
I groaned “Of course, we are.”
Hailey and the boys pushed into the room.
“Are you sure about that?” Owen asked.
I probably blushed wondering what evidence still existed. I followed his gaze and realized my tank top was pulled up on one side. Levi pulled it down before I could, letting his hand graze my skin in the process. The goose bumps that formed were completely coincidental—or so I told myself.
